Challenger, Gulfstream, and many more popular aircraft models use swaging technology.
Swaging, or “swedge,” is a cold-working technique that forms one piece of metal around another using precise dies. This method, also known as Permaswage® or “permaswaging,” is mostly used in aviation for fluid systems that need a long-lasting, leak-proof metal-to-metal seal.
Without the need for welding or other sealing techniques, swaging establishes a strong mechanical link between tubing and fittings, creating a sealed channel for fluids like hydraulic media. Correct execution of this procedure calls for certain tools and a great deal of practical experience. In order to provide dependable swaging services for aircraft owners and operators, JAX Aerospace keeps the appropriate equipment and contributes decades of combined experience.
