Aircraft Wet Wing Repair & Resealing

In a wet wing, the wing structure itself is the fuel tank. When sealant deteriorates, fuel finds its way out through seams, joints, and fasteners.

Section 01

Integral Tanks & Sealant Deterioration

Tank sealant hardens, cracks, and loses adhesion with age, temperature cycling, and structural flexing. Leaks often appear far from their actual source.

Section 02

Leak Identification

  • Seam and joint leaks
  • Fastener leaks
  • Access panel leaks
  • Fitting and penetration leaks

Section 03

Resealing & Cure

Failed sealant is removed, surfaces are cleaned and prepared, and new sealant is applied and cured to specification before the tank is closed and leak tested.
